What’s the pedigree of your champion?
He was a Ride Time x “Salt Bae” (DTM Donor). We have flushes on the ground sired by Ace out of this donor, and also put in some frozens out of her and Gable in the same group. Those will sell on The Brand March 1, a live sale in Webster City.
What ram or female has been most influential to your herd?
There’s a lot of individuals that I think helped build our program, but I think it’s hard to deny that Freestyle really kicked things into another gear for us. His males surfaced, and are still surfacing at big shows and the females are proving to be extremely valuable as well.
What’s your dream as a producer?
We value the relationships created through our operation with people we’ve met over the years more than anything. Our dream is for our family to be mentioned and remembered before any banner or high seller.
Do you reside on the same farm, or in the same town you grew up in?
Charlie & Monica along with their 2 kids live just 1 mile away from the home farm, and Tanner & Bridget would live just 2 miles away from home farm, where we both grew up. Mark & Nancy live where the majority of the sheep are located.
How many years have you been raising sheep?
We started with a real shiny group of bred ewes when I was in 4th grade, and that would have been in 1996 and have built since then.
What’s your dream vacation?
A place where the climate is pleasant, with the family.
