What’s the pedigree of your champion?

We were fortunate to have the opportunity to purchase this bred ewe from Cody Lacy last summer. She will definitely be making an impact on program just as other Rank daughters have for many operations.
What makes your operation run smoothly?
My mother keeping the book keeping in line. Wouldn’t be possible if she wasn’t the organization driving force.
How many head do you run?
We like to tell my mom that theres 150 ewes, but we now run 300 ewes. 50/50 black and white.
Do you have another job besides raising sheep? If so, what’s your occupation?
Allison is our full time shepherd, but Penny and Joe work outside the farm. Joe is a computer specialist for the USDA, and Penny is a nutrition educator through Kansas State University.
In your opinion, who has been the most influential ram across the industry?

What’s your favorite livestock show?
The Show Reno!!
Do you prefer online sales or live sales?
Both make me very anxious, but I love seeing, talking to breeders and customers so I would say live sales are my favorite.
