We caught up with Ms. Reagan Rodgers, exhibitor of the Grand Champion Market Lamb at the 2020 Missouri State Fair. Learn a little more about Reagan below!

With the uncertainty of the show season, how did you stay focused?
Working on my sheep gave me something to look forward to and keep me busy while I was out of school. We were really lucky to live in a state that showing was still allowed
What was something new you tried this year since you were able to be home more often than normal?
I got to help my dad with our cattle more throughout the day and I was able to go to Arkansas for a big jackpot show with some of my friends from out of state.
What is your favorite show product to use?
We don’t use a lot of products but one that has been handy if my sheep get wound up at a show is Focus to calm them down

When I grow up I want to be….
I’m not sure yet what I want to be but I want to do something with animals.
Showing animals has helped me to develop……
Showing animals has helped me develop a lot of friends across the country. As much as I like to show I really look forward to seeing all my friends when I get to them.
What’s your favorite Barn Chore:
My favorite thing to do is to work on their legs to get big leg wool.
Who is the person you look to for advice right before you go in the ring for that last minute pep talk or pointer:
I’m really lucky to have several people I can count on for advice. The group of people that help me with my sheep all pitch in to help as a team. Ty and Nicole, Cooper and Victoria, Kamden, and Zack have all been incredible help at different times and I wouldn’t have been able to do it without them.
Favorite Celebration Restaurant after a good day at the show:
It really depends on what show we are at but I really like a good steakhouse with all of my friends.
