We caught up with Ms. Madison Fairley, exhibitor of the Grand Champion Market Lamb at the 2020 South Dakota State Fair 4-H Show. Learn a little more about Madison below!

With the uncertainty of the show season, how did you stay focused?
We just put in the work everyday, not knowing what was going to happen. We tried to get better everyday.
What was something new you tried this year since you were able to be home more often than normal?
I actually started working with my lambs way earlier this year due to the covid & my track season not happening. I started in April whereas normally I start in June after track.
What is your favorite show product to use?
This is a hard one but I’d have to say cold snap, I really saw a difference in my lambs legs after using this product on them multiple times.
When I grow up I want to be….
I’m not sure yet, but I think I want to do something with agriculture or physical therapy.
Showing animals has helped me to develop……
Work ethic, patience, poise, perisistance, and to never give up even if you have a one bad show.
