With the uncertainty of the show season, how did you stay focused?
It was very difficult to stay focused since it was my 10th and last year in 4H, knowing that any day these shows (including state fair) could be cancelled. It was definitely an emotional roller coaster and not how I hoped my last year in 4H would go, but I kept working thankfully there were sheep breeders and show committees that found a way to put on open shows, county fairs, and even the Indiana State Fair and gave exhibitors the opportunity to show. I know other states were not as fortunate.

What was something new you tried this year since you were able to be home more often than normal?
Nothing new, but just being home more and being able to utilize the cooler parts of the day helped.

What is your favorite show product to use?

FLARE to show off all the leg wool we work hard to keep.

When I grow up I want to be….
I hope to be enjoying a successful business in the future and just enjoying time with friends and family.

Showing animals has helped me to develop……

irreplaceable friendships and memories made showing sheep and pigs as well as appreciation for the opportunity my parents have given me to show livestock at local, state, and national levels.

What’s your favorite Barn Chore:
Rinsing and working animals with the radio blasting!

Who is the person you look to for advice right before you go in the ring for that last minute pep talk or pointer:

Both my parents, and sister of course, but I couldn’t have done it without the support of a great team of family & friends like Kristy Pingel, Alex Raute, Sam Raute, Gabbie Raute who have really pushed me and supported me this year.   I also need to include Matt and Dave Williams for being in my corner and supporting me this year.   There are several others, and I hope they know who they are, as I was fortunate to be included and show with a great group of exhibitors and their families this year!

Favorite Celebration Restaurant after a good day at the show:
A rare beef filet and an entertaining crew of livestock friends at the table!

Favorite Song or Singer:
Post Malone, Classic Rock like AC/DC, and some throwback Eminem
