School Attending & Grade: Senior at Reedsburg Area High School

What was special or interesting about your lamb?
My lamb had a twin that was also shown at the state fair by another family.

What was your favorite sheep in your barn this year?
My favorite sheep in the barn was my lamb that won champion hamp and reserve overall at WI state fair. He always had the best personality and was a great showmanship lamb.

How would you describe your experience?
I would describe the moment as being overwhelmingly joyful for me and my family Because I don’t think we ever expected this state fair to go so well.

Favorite thing to hear on showday?
I love to hear encouraging words before I show but I also like to hear good criticism to keep me focused.

Favorite person you spent time with at the show…
I loved spending time with all my friends that show sheep with me because I don’t get to see them that often.

Do you have any superstitions?
No, I don’t have any superstitions.

What is your dream job?

My dream job is to be a sports psychologist and work with college athletes.

With the uncertainty of the show season, how did you stay focused?
I stayed focused by staying busy with my livestock and focused on the fact that I’d still have the opportunity to show my animals at some show this year

What was something new you tried this year since you were able to be home more often than normal?
This year I definitely worked extra long with my livestock. I just spent more time doing the little things in the barn or the extra step each day.

What is your favorite show product to use?
I really liked using Sure Shine this year. It is a great show day leg product for sheep.

When I grow up I want to be….

A role model. I haven’t thought about college or any career paths yet.

Showing animals has helped me to develop……
Great leadership skills and the ability to work with other kids. Showing animals has made me grow the most as a person through the years more than anything else.

What’s your favorite Barn Chore:
My favorite barn is working legs on my sheep.

Who is the person you look to for advice right before you go in the ring for that last minute pep talk or pointer:

My dad is my biggest supporter and help with everything I do.

Favorite Celebration Restaurant after a good day at the show:
My dad never takes me out to eat at restaurants but is have to say Texas Roadhouse is a favorite.

Favorite Song or Singer:
My favorite song for the whole last year was One Man Band by Old Dominion
