What was special or interesting about your lamb?
This ewe lamb lister her mom two weeks after she had her. She was bottle fed and had that big pop belly that’s not to pretty to see! My buddie seen this lamb and said I can get that lamb to be a champion! He gave the lamb to me to show for the season and has one three shows to 58 lbs all the way up to 137 lbs! This ewe is one of a kind kinda sassy and gets what she wants but when she gets in the show ring it’s all business!

What was your favorite sheep in your barn this year?
I have had four sheep this year and the ewe lamb is by far my favorite.

How would you describe the moment you were selected as champion?
Sitting in the final drive with your lamb bracing hard against your leg and the judge looking and you and the other lamb behind you trying to tell them apart what one he likes better! When standing there showing this ewe lamb is a dream especially at the utah state fair. When shaking my hand to be the reserve champion was something i will never forget!

Favorite thing to hear on showday?

When Kolby Burch walked past my lamb and said this lamb has amazing written all over it was big words coming from him! When walking up to the show ring just before I go in, and having them following me spraying sprays and making sure she is ready to go in and win the class!

Favorite person you spent time with at the show…
I have many stock show friends but my family is a big part of it they drive me to showes and help me with whatever I need to do. Another friend is names jessi Allred she has always been there for me when I need help to show a lamb or just to help me show!

Do you have any superstitions?
If you want to win you have to put in the time with your animals. I have my own 4-H group and my goal is to try and get every kid a buckle at my county fair that’s in my group. And I have been able to do that for the past 2 years. Things like this is like anyone can do it if you put in the work!

What is your dream job?

My dream job is to have my own business in collision and repair on cars and truck. Now yes I know this isn’t Ag related but I will never leave the livestock show world and will always be apart of it. Another goal is to hopefully raise show lambs and show cattle for county to national shows all over the US!
