What’s the most interesting thing you’ve learned while showing animals?
Sometimes you can do everything right, have the right animals, and you still lose

Do you have any special tricks for getting stubborn animals to cooperate?
Be more hard headed than the animal.

What’s your favorite memory involving your animals?
My favorite memory involving my animals was winning the Tulsa Ewe Show with my brother and beating his cross with my Dorset.

How do you prepare your animals both physically and mentally for the shows?
To physically prepare my animals for the shows, I put them through an extensive exercise program. Mentally, me and my animals listen to hype music before the show.

What’s the most challenging aspect of showing livestock, and how do you overcome it?
Once again, having all the right animals and doing all the right things and still not winning is one of the most challenging aspects. The only way to overcome this type of hurdle is to just keep persevering.

Who inspired you to become the showman you are today?
My biggest inspiration to become the showman I am today is my older brother, Brody. Not only does he inspire me to great things in the show ring, but in every aspect of my life. Brody has won two National Livestock Judging Championships. In my opinion, he is a true stockman

Do you name your animals? If so, what’s the most interesting name you have given?
I name all of my animals. My favorite were a pair of Dorsets I had that I named Fettuccine and Alfredo, because of my love for Olive Garden.

If your lamb had its own pump-up song, what would it be?
Her pump-up song is “Unwritten”.

What’s the most unexpected blooper you’ve experienced during a show?
During showmanship at Denver, I purposely tanked showmanship so I could go vomit. This was due to me having a stomach virus
