We caught up with Ms. Kobi Scroggins, exhibitor of the Reserve Grand Champion Market Lamb and the Reserve Grand Champion Commercial Ewe at the 2023 EYO. Learn a little more about Kobi below!
Age: 15
Grade: Freshman at Tuttle High School.
How do you stay focused on reaching your goal?
Keeping a schedule. Starting the day with livestock judging, school, barn work, sleep, then repeat.
Do you show any other species besides sheep? If so, what other species?
I just recently added some does to the showstring.
What’s your favorite show? and why?
I would have to say the Tulsa State Fair as it kicks off the majors for us Okies.
What do you do to celebrate after a big win?
Go eat a fancy steak!
What has showing livestock taught you?
Hard work, responsibility, and resilience.
What’s your biggest dream?
To win Denver, Louisville or OYE.
What’s your lambs name? and what made him/her so special?
My wether is Superhero, he’s the calmest in the barn, and his theme song is Superhero by Metro boomin, Future & Chris Brown.
My ewe is Louis Vuitton – She’s got junk in her trunk!
Who do you look up to?
I would have to give some credit to my brother Brody, as he’s always helped in the barn. He can be my biggest critic but he’s also my biggest cheerleader. But there are so many other people behind the scenes too.
