Age: 16

Grade: Junior

How do you stay focused on reaching your goal?
I always have to remember that there are others out there who are working just as hard as I am. In order to be successful, It takes dedication and work. That’s simply how I see champions being made.

Do you show any other species besides sheep? If so, what other species?
I also show goats

What’s your favorite show? and why?
That’s hard to say, but the Houston livestock show has always had a special place in my heart. Not only do I get to see so many amazing people, but stepping onto those green shavings feels different than any other show I’ve ever gone to.

What do you do to celebrate after a big win?
I always love to get together with all of the people who helped me throughout the show and go eat together! One of my favorite places would have to be Pappadeaux

What has showing livestock taught you?
Showing has taught me so many things including, how to be a polite and respectful person towards everyone I meet. It’s has taught me how to win and loose gracefully.  I have also learned so much about how to care for the animals I have had throughout the years and just all livestock in general. Lastly, to hold on the special moments as long as you can because they’ll only be a memory before you know It.

What’s your biggest dream?
That is such a tough one for me. The biggest dream I have Is to make an impact on others lives through showing them the love of God. He has done so much for me and I think others deserve to know about Him. Im not exactly sure how I’m going to do that yet but I hope I can touch the hearts of little kids simply by showing them kindness and love. That may involve showmanship camps or maybe just showing them simple acts of kindness

What’s your lambs name? and what made him/her so special?
So this name is interesting but I didn’t exactly come up with It. We knew from the very beginning that this sheep was going to Reno, so we thought It was a great idea to name him Elvis. My dad thought It would be very fitting since we would be close to Las Vegas.

Who do you look up to?
I have always looked up to my parents. They have done so much for me but I especially look up to my mom. She is so strong and has been there for me through It all. She has shown me what it’s supposed to be like to be a woman of God and she has always put others first.
