We caught up with Mr. Braden McCoy, exhibitor of the Grand Champion Market Lamb and at the 2023 State Fair of West Virginia. Learn a little more about Braden below!

How do you stay focused on reaching your goal?
Success isn’t magic it doesn’t just appear one day. Without hard work and dedication there is failure.
Do you show any other species besides sheep? If so, what other species?
Goats
What’s your favorite show? and why?
The American Royal is my favorite shows mainly because of the environment. It’s in a cool city on a cool fair grounds filled with lots of cool people and livestock.
What do you do to celebrate after a big win?
I normally take the next day off and play a celebratory round of golf.
What has showing livestock taught you?
It’s the little steps that make the biggest difference
What’s your biggest dream?
At the moment my biggest dream is to take one of the top spots at either the American Royal or Naile.
What’s your lambs name? and what made him/her so special?
Frog. There was a big family argument on whether I get to keep him for myself to show or we put him in an online sale and luckily I won the argument.
Who do you look up to?
My dad.
