What’s been your all time favorite sheep you have judged?
There have been a few that have stuck in my mind but it’s hard to narrow it down to one.
Who’s your biggest influence in evaluating livestock?
There’s been many people who have influenced me.
What do you look for when evaluating?
I look at structure, build, balance then muscle
If down to the last few, what will be your sort?
Structure
Do you prefer to evaluate when sheep are in motion or stuck on profile?
Both. They have to be able to move but look good stuck at the same time.
Tell us about your family!
My wife, Lauren, and I have been married for two years and we have a one year old daughter, Emersyn. I am very thankful they share the passion of the livestock industry with me.
What’s one show you look forward to every year?
I always look forward to the Illinois State Fair
In your mind, how has the industry changed in the show ring over the last 10 years?
I think the size of the lambs and leg wool have changed the most in my opinion.
