Double E Livestock

We caught up with the breeder of the Grand Champion Wether Dam at the 2026 Missouri State Fair and the Reserve Champion 4-H Market Lamb at the 2026 Minnesota State Fair. We invite you to read our candid interview with Double E Livestock below and please continue to check back often for our next edition of “Breeder Spotlight.”

What’s the pedigree of your champion?
Missouri – Bruh X Top Gun X Republic
Minnesota – Unfiltered x Harrell 4361 (All Me x Legend)

How many years have you been raising sheep?
While we have only been operating as Double E Livestock for 3 years, Neal has been raised in the sheep industry and has worked as head herdsman for some of the top breeders in the business such as Nathan Club Lambs & Beatty Club Lambs.

What excites you the most about raising show stock?
We thoroughly enjoy watching and keeping up with what is winning in the ring in order to keep our lambs competitive at the highest level.

What is your favorite animal on your farm?
It’s hard to really pick a favorite animal because they all have their place and do their job well, this one may have to our girls Luna and Harper.

What is one lesson that you have learned while raising sheep that has changed your perspective over time?
Being genuinely invested in our program and what works for us rather than trying to imitate others ultimately pays off in the end. Keeping our integrity and believing in our lambs and the youth that have them will always be the most important.

Where would you like to see your operation go in the next 5 – 10 years?
We would love to continue to grow our flock and flush program.
