Calvin “Cal” Wayne Enfield, 68 of Collins, passed away Monday, June 10, 2024, following a terminal diagnosis of cancer.
Calvin was born June 17, 1955, in Des Moines, Iowa, the son of Earl Enfield and Betty Link. He graduated from Maxwell High School in 1973 and earned a degree from DMACC in accounting. Calvin was united in marriage to Rosalie Crooks on June 18, 1988, in Collins, Iowa. He was an ASI Certified Mechanic and served as a commercial motor vehicle officer from 1992 until his retirement as sergeant in 2018.
Calvin was a member of the Continental Dorset Club and enjoyed raising sheep. He spent most of his life farming near Collins.
Calvin is survived by his children Emily (Barry) Tantaris of Smithton, IL, Daniel (Tamara) Enfield of Liberty Hill, TX, Nicholas (Chelsea) Enfield of Maxwell and Andrew Enfield of Collins; his grandchildren Conner Brown, Bodi Brown, Rhett Enfield, Kylie Valdez and Braxton Troxell; his sisters Sheri (David) Roach of Carlisle and Joyce (Mick) Gale of Des Moines; along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Rosalie in 2002; and his brother Craig Enfield.
A private graveside service will be held at Brethren Cemetery near Maxwell.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Calvin Enfield Memorial at Exchange State Bank in Collins, Iowa.
