What did you do to prepare that helped set yourself apart?
I think showmanship is the biggest piece that sets apart the good from the great. I focused really hard on showing all my lambs in a way that would ensure that I got noticed and set apart. The other thing was just taking time to make sure feed and excercise were on point every day every feeding.
What was the funniest thing that happened while you were preparing for the State Fair?
It was my first year bringing market turkeys to the state fair as well as lambs and goats. I had to wash the turkeys. It was a funny experience trying to wash a turkey. It paid off, though, because I ended up winning the market turkey show the same day as the market lamb show
If you could invent a new fair food, what would it be?
Fruit pizza would be awesome.
What would it look like if you designed a ride for the fair?
A haunted house rollercoaster because I love the haunted houses in Kansas City!
What was your celebratory dinner choice?
