Lincoln Oldenburg

We caught up with Mr. Lincoln Oldenburg, exhibitor of the Reserve Supreme Champion Purebred Ewe at the 2025 Oklahoma Youth Expo. Learn a little more about Lincoln below!

Leading up to the show, did you always know this lamb was special? What made him special?
My ewe was special because we raised her, and I had the privilege of watching her grow and transform into an incredible ewe.

Getting to win OYE is a huge accomplishment, who would you like to thank for helping you get here?
My family, the Shenold Family, the Charmasson Family, Nick, Chelsey, Jamie and Ramsey.  The one thing that I have learned in this industry is how important family is even if we are not blood related.

What is one show ring experience that you will never forget?
I have been very blessed over the years with good livestock so it is hard to pick just one.  But I have to say that winning the Supreme Wether Dam and Res. Supreme Pure Bred Ewe are my personal favorites.

If you could describe your experience in words – how would you describe it?
I have been partial to this ewe from day one so standing out in the Supreme Drive was so exciting.  The Southdown drive is so tough and I knew it would be a hard breed to win.  But the handshake for the 2025 Reserve Supreme Ewe is one that I won’t forget especially since this was the last show.  My family and I have deemed my senior year the Oldenburg Farewell Tour and it was one heck of a ride.

If you had the opportunity to win one show, what would it be?
N.A.I.L.E Supreme Ewe

Who is your favorite judge? Why?
Spencer Scotten is one of my favorite judges to show to and to watch.  I feel that he truly evaluates livestock, does it quickly and efficiently and gives everyone a fair look.

What do you enjoy most about being at the shows?
I enjoy being with my family the most at shows.  We have traveled all over the country to show livestock and I have met some of my life long friends in these barns.
