How do you stay focused on reaching your goal?
When I get down, I just remind myself to keep going and that all the work will be worth it in the end. I think it is easy to lose sight of the goal especially because things never go as planned so it is important to take a minute, breath, and keep going.

Do you show any other species besides sheep? If so, what other species?
I have shown cattle for 11 years and mainly focused on showing steers.

What’s your favorite show? and why?
My favorite show is Maine and Chi junior nationals. It is my favorite because it allows me to spend the week with my show friends, family, and exhibit cattle at the highest level.

What do you do to celebrate after a big win?
I normally take in the moment with my family and friends then we normally go to dinner after.

What has showing livestock taught you?
One of the most valuable traits that showing livestock has taught me is humility. Despite your best efforts to accomplish a goal it all comes down to the judges opinion. Without humility it would be easy to give up and be upset about the results. But if you keep your head down and work harder the next year it could yield greater success.

What’s your biggest dream?
My biggest dream is being a happy and successful adult that is in a position where I can give back to the industry that so many of us love. I would like to be able to spread my faith and teach the youth of the show industry about the Lords Jesus christ.

What’s your lambs name? and what made him/her so special?
I have 4 sheep. Wanda, Cozmo, Timmy, and Friend named after The Fairly Odd Parents. Wanda is my natural ewe who is the most intelligent of the group. Cozmo has a dorky personality and is kind of dumb. Timmy is awesome and knows he is good. Despite Friend’s name, he is a feisty sheep who thinks it is his way or the highway.

Who do you look up to?
I have always looked up to my older sister. She has pushed me to be more competitive and responsible. She makes sure to keep her morals intact and treat people with respect.
