We caught up with Ms. Grace Moore exhibitor of the Reserve Grand Champion Market Lamb at the 2024 Fort Worth Stock Show. Learn a little more about Grace below!
Grade: I go to Christoval High School and I’m in 9th grade
Tell us a little bit about your champion.
His name was Ralph and he got that name from Wreck It Ralph because he always tried to mess things up.
Throughout your show career what’s been your favorite lamb?
My favorite lamb has either been Ralph or Sparkles my champion ewe at NAILE 2022.
Do your prefer showing Wethers or Ewes?
I like showing wethers and ewes equally.
Are you superstitious? If so, what are your superstitions?
Yes l am superstitious, l can not have a 50 dollar bill on show day because it can mean bad luck.
Who has been your biggest influence?
I would say my mom is my biggest influence. She is very hardworking and never gives up once she has her mind set on something.
It’s showday – what is one thing you can’t leave the hotel/house without?
I can not leave the house/hotel without my show shoes.
What do you tell yourself right before you go into the ring?
I really don’t say anything to myself before I am more focused on trying not to throw up.
Are you an early riser or a night owl?
I think l am more of a night owl.
What’s your favorite thing to do in the barn?
My favorite thing to do in the barn is to do sheep and goat legs and hand walk all my animals.
