We caught up with Mr. Carter Watson, exhibitor of the Reserve Champion Market Lamb at the 2025 Kansas Junior Livestock Show. Learn a little more about Carter below!
What feed product do you feel helped them the most?
Out of the many products we feed, the one that had the biggest impact on our animals was Coppers Feed or Oxi Plus.
What show day supply could you not go without?
As a family we use many show supply’s but the one we could never go without is our abundant amount of Pro Polish.
What did you do to prepare that made you set yourself apart?
Honestly consistency was key. Making sure these animals are dialed in when it comes show day. Making sure that they get walked, legs wrapped, and set up the most possible leading up to the show.
What was the funniest thing that happened while you were preparing for the State Fair?
The funniest thing that happened leading up was probably getting injured at my soccer game and not being able to show leading up to it. However we still showed out.
If you could invent a new fair food, what would it be?
Fried Dragon fruit
What would it look like if you designed a ride for the fair?
Honestly I would probably make something with a slingshot cause I think it would cool to shoot someone from one place to another safely.
