What did you do to prepare that helped set yourself apart?
What set me apart was the preparation I put in before ever stepping into the ring. I focused on the details—putting in consistent work every single day, making sure I understood not just the basics but the finer points. I studied what others were doing, learned from mentors, and then pushed myself to go beyond that. I practiced until things felt second nature.
What was the funniest thing that happened while you were preparing for the State Fair?
Our sheep got out of their pen a few days before state fair! They had the best time destroying the hay in the barn!
If you could invent a new fair food, what would it be?
Green Chile sugar donuts!
What would it look like if you designed a ride for the fair?
I love the gondola ride we have at the New Mexico State Fair, my wish is that every fair/show we go to has one!
What was your celebratory dinner choice?
