Tell us a little bit about your champion.
“21” is what we call him. One thing that is so special about him is that we raised him. His mom is sheniqua, she was reserve ewe at Naile in 2021. I had my eyes on him since he was a baby, and I was just waiting for the day that dad and Ryan decided to cut him for me to show.

“Journey” I knew from day one I wanted to show her! She had an amazing run this spring and summer and I was so excited that we could get it done at her last show!

Throughout your show career what’s been your favorite lamb?
That is so hard because I have shown so many sheep. But either my sheep that just won NAILE or freisen. These 2 sheep had such good personalities and were such a joy to work everyday.

Do your prefer showing Wethers or Ewes?
I enjoy showing both, but I’d say wethers.

Are you superstitious? If so, what are your superstitions?
YES!

It’s showday – what is one thing you can’t leave the hotel/house without?
That’s hard, but probably my show belt or show shirt.

What do you tell yourself right before you go into the ring?
What ever happens is gonna happen.

Are you an early riser or a night owl?
Early riser.

Who has been your biggest influence?
Man that’s hard. I have looked up to so many different people for various of reasons. But my dad probably has been my biggest influence. While growing up I was always watching brantlee cox and kailen urban because they could get any sheep stuck! I knew if I wanted to be a good showman I needed to watch and learn from the best!

What’s your favorite thing to do in the barn?
I really enjoy working with babies in the winter time, and working legs on show sheep.
