We caught up with Ms. Andrea Miller, exhibitor of the Grand Champion Market Lamb at the 2025 South Dakota State Fair FFA Show. Learn a little more about Andrea below!
What feed product do you feel helped them the most?
I’d probably have to say wheat germ oil.
What show day supply could you not go without?
This question is tough I’d probably have to go with silk.
What did you do to prepare that helped set yourself apart?
I believe what set me apart preparing this summer was I had a freak accident that left me with five broken ribs, and a collapsed lung. Through all of it I never gave up, and it left me even more hungry to work hard and end my career on a good note.
What was the funniest thing that happened while you were preparing for the State Fair?
One day, I was doing legs in the barn. I turned the blower on, and it sounded kind of funny, but I didn’t think anything of it. The next thing I knew a mouse came shooting out the end of the hose and scared the daylights out of me.
If you could invent a new fair food, what would it be?
I’m not sure what I would invent but I would definitely make it significantly cheaper than normal fair food.
What would it look like if you designed a ride for the fair?
I’m not a huge ride fan, so I would probably design something that was simple.
What was your celebratory dinner choice?
My celebratory dinner choice was Mexican with my family.
