We caught up with Ms. Amy Moore, exhibitor of the Reserve Champion Wether Dam at the 2025 Rodeo Austin. Learn a little more about Amy below!

What school do you attend/grade are you in?
I go to Christoval Junior High. I am in 6th grade

Leading up to the show, did you always know this lamb was special? What made him special?
Before we went to the show I knew this lamb was special because she was hard to deal with. Normally I do good with the ones who are hard headed.

Getting to win a TX Major is a huge accomplishment, who would you like to thank for helping you get here?
I would like to thank my mom and Vinny. Those people have helped me throughout my show career.

What is one show ring experience that you will never forget?
One show experience that I will never forget is when I peed my pants after winning the junior showmanship at Kansas City and my mom had do blow my pants dry before the overall showmanship.

If you could describe your experience in words – how would you describe it?
I would describe it as an exciting experience. It was such a fun time when I got to reserve the show behind Brynlee Hogg. Brynlee has always been someone I have looked up to.

Who has been your biggest influence?
My biggest influence has been my mom. She has always meant so much to me.

If you had the opportunity to win one show, what would it be?
I would love to win Houston. It has always been my biggest goal.

Who is your favorite judge? Why?
My favorite judge is Sierra Nauman. She was the judge to pick me to win my first jackpot and Texas major ewe show. She is also my favorite Martin.

What do you enjoy most about being at the shows?
I enjoy seeing my friends.
