We caught up with judge Scott Greiner before he steps “Inside the Ring” to sort the Market Lamb Show at State Fair of Texas. Learn more about Scott below…
What are you looking forward to the most while judging the show?
Always an honor to be asked to judge a Texas major as the livestock will be high quality, the exhibitors will be outstanding, and it will be a well-orchestrated event from start to finish! In addition, I am sure to enjoy great hospitality!
What state fair did you show at growing up? What was your favorite part?
Iowa State Fair! Lots of great memories of the experiences with family and friends. The competition in the ring was always fierce, but at the end of the day we all had a great time and built friendships that still exist today!
What is one lesson you took away from showing yourself?
Being humble when success comes your way, and gracious when it does not. Competition is a great thing, as long as kept in perspective and we keep in mind at the end of the day it is just a livestock show. Life is full of successes and disappointments, and how we handle them defines us.
