We caught up with Mr. Connor Brew to learn more about his hometown before he steps “Inside the Ring” to sort the Breeding Ewe Show at the 2026 Oklahoma Youth Expo. Get to know Connor below!
Where did you grow up?
I grew up in Millersburg, Indiana, in Elkhart County. It’s a small rural town full of agriculture enthusiasts and Amish communities! It was unique growing up here with people from such different beliefs and ways of life. I firmly believe that helped shape me in understanding that everyone is different, but everyone deserves respect!
If we go back to your senior year of high school, what song was “your song”?
“Mood Ring” – Wade Bowen
Still one of my favorites!
Were you involved in any extracurricular activities? If so, what?
Alongside being involved in 4-H and FFA, I grew up racing motocross. Outside of the livestock industry, it is still one of my greatest passions and most weekends are spent watching stock shows and professional dirt bike races!
Were there any local traditions or festivals you loved?
First Fridays was always a fun tradition to attend. On the first Friday of every month, there is a local festival filled with food vendors, antique cars, and incredible ice sculptures in the winter.
If someone were visiting your hometown for the first time, what’s the one thing they must do?
Visit The Chief for the best ice cream out there or Rise’ n Roll Bakery for incredible Amish Doughnuts.
If you know, you know!
