What are you looking forward to the most while judging the show?
I am really looking forward to being back on the breeding side of the sheep ring. I really enjoy working through the female side of things, even more than Market Lambs.
What state fair did you show at growing up? What was your favorite part?
I grew up showing at the Indiana State Fair. My favorite memories include sitting in tack pens with my friends playing cards and watching the shows. It’s special getting to spend a week with friends at the State Fair!
What show is on your bucket list to judge?
The National Western Stock Show in Denver, CO. I’ve always loved the location and timing of Denver for a sheep show, and it’s always been number 1 on my list!
What is one lesson you took away from showing yourself?
“A winner is just a loser who tried one more time.” When a show doesn’t go well, it’s all about getting back in the barn the next day to improve!
