Brent Titus

We caught up with Brent Titus before he steps “Inside the Ring” to sort the Market Lamb Show at the 2026 Arkansas Youth Expo. Learn more about Brent below…

What is “nonnegotiable” for you when judging good livestock?
Skeletal width and body shape.

What is your favorite part about working with the next generation of young people?
I didn’t have a ton of show ring success as a 4-H member. The ability to educate and mentor the next generation of showmen and show judges excites me.

What is your best piece of advice for someone looking to pursue a judging career?
Livestock judging programs are great, but they do not replicate real world experience. Find a breeder that is having a high level of success and learn as much as you can. Do not accept shows until you are 100% confident in your ability to judge them.

Biggest showmanship pet peeve?
Halters.

Do you prefer to judge on the profile or on the walk?
On the move, structure matters.

If judges had a walkup song, what would yours be?
Kamikaze – Logan Ryan Band

Favorite show you have judged?
Oklahoma Youth Expo

Go-to road trip snack?
Cashews and Coke Zero

What impression do you hope to leave on the crowd and exhibitors when you exit the ring after judging?
That I saw the livestock correctly and that the spectators can tell that I care about the kids and their projects.
