What excites you the most about raising show stock?
Attempting to raise better ones every single year. Continually trying to improve the next generation and the excitement of deciding the next years matings and the anticipation of the next years lamb crop.

What is your favorite animal on your farm?
Probably can’t choose just 1. 

What is one lesson that you have learned while raising sheep that has changed your perspective over time?
Breed the kind you like and stick to your guns, you will rarely “catch up” to much chasing fads. Different trends come and go and the majority of us (us included) tend to follow them. Over time we have tried to keep our core values the same when it comes to our female base needing to look like females that are built the way we like and not caring if anyone else agrees. We like them taller fronted and more exotic than most, with some being “too far out there” for everyone. But we dig that kind and mate to rams to move the needle the needed direction

Where would you like to see your operation go in the next 5 – 10 years?
I hope in 5-10 years we are raising better ones than we do now and raising ones we are proud to have our notch in their ear in the ring. I would like to see us continue to push forward utilizing both the best genetics we can create and the best genetic pieces we can find to continue to move the needle forward.
