How old are you and where do you go to school?
I am 17 and I attend Navarro High School.
Where do you plan to attend college?
Texas A & M
What activities are you involved in at school?
FFA
How old were you when you started showing sheep?
I started showing at the age of five.
What is your favorite show and why?
San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo, because I had the privilege of exhibiting the Reserve Grand Market Lamb there in 2008 and have been blessed to have several 1st and 2nd’s at this show.
Do you have any superstitions or good luck charms?
Yes, I keep the dry cleaning tag on my jeans.
Describe your daily exercise and feeding program.
My lambs get walked everyday for about an hour. Monday, Wednesday, Friday they either get put on the track or treadmill. Depending on what time of year and the condition of the lamb 15% or 18% protein feed is fed twice a day at either at 1 ¼ lbs or 1 ½ lbs.
Who is the person who has helped you the most with your show projects?
My dad.
What is one tip you would give starting showmen?
One of my favorite mentors told me when I first started out, “Practice makes perfect only when you practice perfect.” So practice, practice, practice.
Where is your favorite lamb you've ever shown?
My Reserve Grand at San Antonio.
What it your favorite color?
Lime green.
