As many of you may have heard, Ritson Urban, 48, passed away Saturday, December 25, 2010 at his home in Roosevelt, Oklahoma. Ritson was known nationally in the show lamb barn for his competitive passion and his quick remarks and witty humor. Anyone that has ever had a conversation with Ritson will always have that one moment that will always be remembered. Ritson's work ethic, determination, and compassion for the show industry in general will be irreplaceable! Ritson will truly be missed by all in the sheep industry.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Waynoka HS Auditorium in Waynoka, OK. Burial will follow at Waynoka Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ritson Urban Family Memorial Fund at BancFirst, PO Box 700, Hobart, Oklahoma 73651 or 580-726-5617. Feel free to read his obituary below:

Ritson Urban, 48, Roosevelt, Oklahoma passed away at his home, Saturday, December 25th, 2010. He was born December 30, 1961 to Fred and Katherine (McNally) Urban. Ritson was part of the first graduating class from the new Waynoka High School building, 1980. He graduated from Panhandle State University, 1984 and began student teaching at Fort Supply 1984-1985 and was Ag teacher at Waynoka, 1986. Ritson married Melody White, January 1, 1995 in Boise City, OK and she preceded him in death, June 10, 2010. Ritson began temporary work with the Farmers Home Administration at Alva and Frederick and became permanent in 1988 at Frederick, Lawton, and Walters then to Hobart 1996. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Roosevelt and was an avid sheep showman.

Survivors include:
Two Sons: Kashen Urban and wife, Katie, Cushing, OK,
Kamden Urban, Roosevelt, OK
Daughter: Kailen "Sister" Urban, Roosevelt, OK
Nephew: Micheal Meyer and wife, Jenni, Vernon, TX
Two Brothers: Fred Urban, Odessa, TX, Kenny Urban and wife, Carol, Farmington, IL
Two Sisters: Golda Kopf and husband, Wendell, Pearland, TX, Lora Meyer, Waynoka, OK
Many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Melody, his parents and one sister, Louise Rutledge.
